CCLA Investment Management joins the BBFAW Global Investor Statement and Global Investor Collaboration on Farm Animal Welfare

CCLA INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT JOINS THE BBFAW GLOBAL INVESTOR STATEMENT AND GLOBAL INVESTOR COLLABORATION ON FARM ANIMAL WELFARE


CCLA, the UK’s largest investment manager for charities and local authorities1, has signed the BBFAW Global Investor Statement and joined the Global Investor Collaboration on Farm Animal Welfare. As a member of the Investor Collaboration CCLA will participate in engagement actions to support improved farm animal welfare management practices and performance amongst BBFAW’s 150 global food companies.


CCLA’s support of BBFAW confirms farm animal welfare is a topic of growing importance in investment practices and is increasingly regarded as a key factor in sustainable, resilient food systems.

The Investor Statement2 and Investor Collaboration3 are now supported by international institutional investors representing £2.1 trillion and £1.9 trillion in assets under management respectively.
